Engineering Detail

The PVA that sets your PVC particle character.

GOHSENOL KH-17 is used worldwide as the primary suspending agent for PVC suspension polymerization. Its specific hydrolysis degree and viscosity define the stability of the VCM droplet in water, which in turn governs the PVC resin's particle size distribution, internal porosity, and plasticiser absorption. Used alone or blended with a secondary PVA such as L-series grades, KH-17 delivers the narrow PSD and high porosity that compound and film processors demand.

Industry-standard grade

KH-17 is widely specified across PVC producers in Asia, the Gulf, and Europe — proven compatibility with major reactor designs.

Primary PVA

Controls VCM droplet stability and sets the upper bound of particle size during the early polymerization phase.

Consistent batch-to-batch

Nippon Gohsei manufacturing discipline delivers tight hydrolysis and viscosity tolerances between lots.

Technical support

Blend recommendations and PVA pairing (with L-11, 552p) based on your target PVC grade and reactor design.
